My Personal Message
Hey Guys,
As part of Rehab's innaugural "1 Day for Rehab" event I am organising a 60km cycle for Sunday 20th June. The cycle will start in Dun Laoghaire on the Sunday morning and the route will take me to the top of Howth Head, via Sandymount, Clontarf and Sutton. I will then return to Dun Laoghaire. I will be joined by some of my Rehab colleagues on the day. If anyone else would like to join me for the spin please let me know.
For those who are interested to know more about the "1 day for Rehab" campaign please go to www. onedayforrehab.ie
All of the funds raised will go towards the range of excellent services which Rehab provide to people in Ireland, the UK, Holland and Poland. The services include heath and social care, training and education, rehabilitation, and employment and commercial services. The people who use these services include young people with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities, people with mental health difficulties, people with autism, and those with an acquired brain injury. A range of essential services are also provided to older people, carers and others who are margenalised. If you are interested in the great work that Rehab does throughout the country please go to www.rehab.ie
Prior to joining Rehab 6 months ago I was unaware of the amazing support/help they provide to so many people throughout the country. It truly is a great organisation and all the funds raised will help to ensure that the levels of service which so many people depend on can be maintained.
I am conscious of the fact that many of you have suppported me over the past few years in different fundraising events so any donation, whether it's €2 or €5, would be greatly appreciated.
You can donate using the "sponsor me now" button below via credit or debit card. You can be assured that your transaction on the mycharity.ie website is very secure. You will automatically receive an e-mail from me thanking you for your support, and acknowledging the amount of your donation. Any donation no matter how small is hugely appreciated.
Many thanks in advance for your support, no matter how small.

About my charity
1 Day For Rehab
Every day of the year, Rehab help thousands of people with disabilities to live their lives the way they want. For 1 Day, we are asking you to help us. At Rehab, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to realise their aspirations, learn new skills and play a full part in their community. 1 Day for Rehab is about raising money to fund local projects that will give peopel greater independence and ability to participate more fully in local community life. 1 Day for Rehab will take place this year on Friday June 15th. Lots of events will be taking place around the country – everything from sponsored walks and cycles, to coffee mornings and treasure hunts. All funds raised locally go back to support the development of local Rehab services. See our website for a list of events happening in your area www.1dayforrehab.ie We are also asking you to give something back by hosting your own 1 Day for Rehab event. You don’t have to be a brilliant organiser – it could be as simple as having girl-friends over for a coffee morning, or having the lads get together for a sponsored five-a-side. Or if that’s not your thing, perhaps you would donate some time and volunteer a few hours on June 15th to sell the 1 Day for Rehab pin and lollipop. This year, 1 Day for Rehab is kindly sponsored by Covidien. To make 1 Day for Rehab a success, we need your energy, ideas and support. Please show your support for Rehab and the work that we do by signing up to hold an event on www.1dayforrehab.ie.
