About my charity
The SCOOP Foundation
Looking out for the little guy! The SCOOP became a registered charity in Ireland in July 2010, though we had all been fundraising individually for about 2 years previous to this. We were brought together after returning home from various trips abroad where we had each encountered schools, orphanages or certain projects that had made a huge impact on us, and upon returning to Ireland, we were compelled to continue supporting them the best we could. Two years later, and a charity formed, we are now supporting 3 schools in the Developing World, one of which we have built ourselves, and are forming a unique and different NGO to any seen before. There are no employees in the SCOOP, we are not seen to shake buckets outside shops or to spend funds needlessly, indeed the majority of the funds raised have come from our own events and fundraisers. It is only the beginning of the SCOOP journey and we ask you to join us...
