My Personal Message Hey Guys,Thanks for visiting my personal fundraising page. Would you like to support a very worthy cause? The 'After the Rain' concert in aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation took place Tue, Nov 17th at the Axis in Ballymun. Thanks to the help and support of all the people who generously gave their time and skills free of charge the evening was a total success! Special thanks go to the compere of the night Aonghus McAnally who professionally lead through the evening and ensured great entertainment for all. The concert started off with the world premiere of 'After the Rain', a composition for string quartet by Irish composer Brian Keegan. This beautiful performance was followed by a class line up of local talents which provided quality entertainment for another 3 hours: the Arioso String Quartet, singer-songwriter Elizabeth Pugh, Forever Young Chorus, violinist Sarah Lane, Tango, Aonghus McAnally, The Alternatives, The Keanettes and Susana Lima. The evening ended with a raffle that alone raised E932. All profits made on the night incl. the raffle will go towards two projects developed and run by the Irish Hospice Foundation (please read a few words about the charity that I have chosen to support below) : - the Hospice friendly Hospitals Programme (HfH) and - the Children's Hospice Home Care Programme. For the latter E2.25 million need to be raised over the next 3 years in order to develop and ensure that children with life limiting illnesses and their families will receive the adequate support and care needed in their own home.
