The Great Irish Foodie Quiz is in it's 3rd year and the 2012 Great Irish Foodie Quiz will take place on Thursday, 1st March from 7.30pm in The Circle Club of the Grand Canal Theatre in Dublin’s Docklands, with all proceeds going to Down Syndrome Ireland.
Entry to the Great Irish Foodie Quiz costs €80 for a team of four. To book your table just click on the button to the left 'SPONSOR ME NOW', enter your TEAM NAME in the 'personal message' area (very important), your own name and your details.
Organiser Chef Aine Maguire said “This is an opportunity for gourmets, gourmands and just plain gluttons to put their foodie knowledge to the test, have some fun and maybe even win one of our great prizes, all for a good cause!”
Myles McWeeney will MC the quiz which will consist of 8 rounds of 10 questions each. Each round will be made up of 6 food related questions, 3 general knowledge questions, and a wine question set by leading sommelier Mary O'Callaghan. The quiz will also feature practical challenges such as a wine tasting round, ingredients identification, and even figuring out what's in a cocktail especially designed for the night.

Down Syndrome Ireland is the national organisation of people with Down Syndrome and their families with over 3,000 member families and 25 voluntary branches nationwide. It is dedicated to being the primary source of support and information to people with Down syndrome, their families and the professional community, working towards an improved quality of life along with a respect and acceptance of people with Down syndrome as valued members of Society.
