My Personal Message
English Version (Italiano sotto):
Hi there,
finally back to Connemara.
Sure, back, cause after 5 years in Connemara for the Marathon, every single year,
life decided that it was time for a break.
Cancer appeared in my life and now I'm a cancer patient.
I had bad times, it was not easy but I'm lucky enough to be still here,
and try to participate again to a Connemara Marathon.
After having the great luck of Winning the Connemara Marathon for two times in 2008 and 2009,
and living 5 nice years in Ireland, what would have been better than going back to Connemara
to walk the Marathon (I'm starting slow, but does not matter) and help collect some funds for Charity
for an Organization that works for Cancer Patients?
So if you wanna follow me or just help for charity collection,
you can donate some money that will go to CancerCareWest.ie but also
contact me to come and join me in walking the Connemara Marathon the next 1st of April 2012.
I look forward to see your donation or get an email from you to organize for you to come
in Connemara with us. We are planning to be a nice group of walkers having a great day in such
an incredible place which is Connemara.
take care,
Simone.
ps: I cheated, I just moved the charity objective from 2.000 to 2.500, I think we can make it, isn't it?
Italiano:
Salve,
a presto
Simone

About my charity
Cancer Care West
Cancer Care West is a not for profit West of Ireland registered charity (CHY11260) dedicated to supporting those whose lives have been affected by a cancer diagnosis. Our aim is to enhance patient care and well being and to provide supports to cancer patients and their families during and after their treatment. We aim to provide a holistic service that complements medical treatment through the provision of residential accommodation and support services. Cancer Care West also provides cancer awareness and educational programmes and undertakes research on patient care. Cancer Care West’s Residential facility is located at Inis Aoibhinn, on the grounds of University Hospital Galway. Our Cancer Support Centre is based at Seamus Quirke Road, a short walk from the hospital and Galway City. Cancer Care West provides support to cancer patients and their families from all over the West of Ireland including counties Clare, Donegal, Galway, Letirim, Limerick, Mayo, North Tipperary, Roscommon and Sligo. All of Cancer Care West's services are provided at no cost to patients and their families and we rely heavily on charitable fundraising and donations to meet the cost of these services.
