My Personal Message
Hey Guys,
Thanks for visiting my personal fundraising page. The Irish Cancer Society charity is a very worthy cause and I would love your support in helping me to raise funds for this charity.
As a challenge I'm trying to "Do good by doing nothing". I'm setting myself the task of not tweeting, facebooking, google+'ing or any other form of social media over the the next two weeks. Starting one minute before midnight 29th of July and finishing one minute after midnight on the 13th of August. This is a "what the hell" kinda thing. And I have no idea if it'll work or not. Yes, I'm on holidays for the next two weeks. In my case that would likely lead to more rather than less social network activity. Anyway up to you. The hashtag is #bequiet
Please read a few words about the charity that I have chosen to support below. You can donate using the "sponsor me now" button below via credit or debit card. You can be assured that your transaction on the mycharity.ie website is very secure. You will automatically receive an e-mail from me thanking you for your support, and acknowledging the amount of your donation. Any donation no matter how small is hugely appreciated.
Many thanks in advance for your support,
Dermot

About my charity
Irish Cancer Society
The Irish Cancer Society is the national charity dedicated to preventing cancer, saving lives from cancer and improving the quality of life of those living with cancer through patient care, research and education. The Society is financed entirely by voluntary contributions from the public and receives no government funding. We rely on thousands of dedicated volunteers from around the country to help with our fundraising activities. We are the largest voluntary funders of Cancer Research in Ireland, and we also provide support and nursing care for people at every step of their cancer journey. Help us continue to deliver our much needed services throughout Ireland. To see a full list of our upcoming events, please see click here (www.cancer.ie/events) and get involved! If you are setting up a fundraising page on MyCharity.ie, please register your event with us first so that we can provide you with fundraising materials and assist you with your fundraising. Contact us at CallSave 1850 60 60 60 or email fundraising@irishcancer.ie. Thank you for joining us in the fight against cancer.
