My Personal Message

Hey Guys,

Thanks for visiting the Sharon Rice O'Beirne Melanoma Trust fundraising page. This is our second mycharity.com page for the melanoma trust, already we have raised €66,160.02 from all events done to date. All funds raised from this trust are donated to The Irish Cancer Society's Sun Smart Programme and research and awareness into melanoma skin cancer. This programme aims to raise Awareness regarding skin cancer prevention and the importance of early detection.

The trust was set up in memory of Sharon, who on the 2nd of February 2008 lost her brave battle against Melanoma Skin Cancer. A cancer which is unfortunately on the increase in Ireland. The aim of this trust is to bring about an Awareness of this potentially fatal disease and to help fund Irish research in this particular area.

Sharon's great strength and positive attitude throughout her illness has encouraged her family & friends to try and promote awareness of this devastating disease to more people who are potentially at risk.

Thank you in advance for your generosity in supporting this worthwhile fund which we hope will be of benefit to others.
