My Personal Message
Howdy folks,
This June, Richard Donovan – one of Ireland’s most successful ultra runners – will attempt yet another record. Richard intends treading the well worn and much loved path that is Mizen Head to Malin Head - with a twist! He plans on running these 365 miles in 5 days - averaging up to 90 miles a day from the most southerly to the most northerly points of Ireland. That’s the equivalent of about 3 full marathons per day!
The funds raised will help us bring 50 children to Galway for the month of July. Doctor's have proven a month here because of clean air, food and diet will add up to 2 years life expectancy to each child. It costs approx €500 for flights to bring a child to Ireland. They stay with volunteering host families while here.
We are also building a home in Belarus that will take 10 children from an orphanage and place them in a loving family home. The cost of this home is €50,000 and we have already made a payment of €40,000 towards this from previous fundraising events.
We also hope to continue our support of the cardiac programme. It costs €1,000 for a child to have life saving cardiac surgery. So far CAMP Claddagh as part of the Chernobyl Children's Project International, have funded and paid for 17 such operations.

Many thanks in advance for your support.

About my charity
Chernobyl Children International
The Chernobyl Children International was established 20 years ago to alleviate the suffering and to offer hope to the victims and survivors of the Chernobyl disaster, namely the children of Belarus, Western Russia and the Ukraine. Through our efforts the quality of life of thousands of young girls and boys from the heart of the Chernobyl zone has been improved immeasurably. To date, we have delivered over €90 million worth of aid to the Chernobyl regions, and have brought over 21,000 children to Ireland on recuperation holidays.
