About my charity
The Red Door
The Red Door (also known as Learning Centre for Autistic Children) The Red Door was set up by the Learning Centre for Autistic Children. Our mission is to provide the best educational and support services to children with autism and their families. We started with The Red Door School in 2001, which is a specialist School delivering each child's individual Education Programme (IEP) under the practice and science of Applied Behaviour Analysis. The Red Door Parents Support Group hosts monthly meetings, offering support and information to local families. Since 2006, The Red Door has hosted international autism conferences, offering an invaluable service to parents and service providers to hear from leading Irish and international experts in the field. More recently, The Red Door has started to develop its Community Project, which is aimed at providing appropriate services for the older teenager and yound adult with autism.
