My Personal Message
THANK YOU so much to all the fantastic knitters, stitchers, quilters and crocheters who called by our stand at the Knitting and Stitching Show in Dublin on Halloween weekend. We raised just over 1,460 EUR and incalculable goodwill so all in all a fantastic start to our EUR fundraising on P-Hop.
But it doesn't end there. We surpassed our original target, so we're setting a new EUR amount to reach. All the money goes to MSF's emergency medical projects worldwide, enabling us to get our teams where they are needed, when they're needed, whether its the high-profile emergencies or the forgotten crises that never make our tv screens.
What is P/hop?
P/hop is charity knitting project that raises funds for MSF.
Incredibly generous designers donate their time and knitting patterns to p/hop. These patterns are then available for you to dowload from our website, or to take from our stand at exhibitions, such as the Knitting and Stitching Show. The idea is you donate based on how many hours of pleasure you’ll get from knitting your p/hop pattern. There is no set price for a pattern; you can donate 50cents or 50 EUR. It’s entirely up to you – P/HOP = PENNIES PER HOUR OF PLEASURE!
Patterns, news and chat all available on http://www.p-hop.co.uk/ |
About my charity
MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders)
MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders) is an international medical humanitarian organisation that delivers life-saving emergency aid in more than 60 countries in some of the most challenging areas of the world. Our medical teams go to places where other organisations cannot or choose not to go. We are able to do this because we are independently funded with 88% of our income coming from members of the public. We work shoulder-to-shoulder with people who struggle daily through poverty, war, disaster and oppression. As problem-solving professionals we don’t see race, religion or politics – we see patients who need the best medical care we can give them, and we act fast to save lives.
