My Personal Message

Hi All,

Thanks for visiting our personal fund raising page. The Mater Heart Foundation charity is a very worthy cause and we would very much appreciate your support in helping us to raise funds for this charity. All the money we raise will be donated to The Mater Heart Foundation. The Mater is currently trying to raise money to improve the screening methods used on families who have lost a family member due to Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS). Currently this area of research is not funded or even partially funded by the government, therefore the Mater Heart Foundation relies entirely on donations to improve the screening of families. In order to raise this money we are taking part in a sponsored 10km run in Kildare on the 7th November, any support will be very much appreciated.

Our much loved and missed son, brother and friend Marcus passed away unexpectedly whilst traveling in his beloved Thailand on the 5th of August 2009. It is in Marcus's memory that we hope to raise this money. Marcus was a past pupil of Taney National School and Wesley College Dublin, he was also a recent graduate of Trinity College Dublin where he studied BESS. Marcus was loved dearly by so many and as a result there is a large group of us partaking in this run.
