My Personal Message
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Playing for Life. It is a very worthy cause and I would very much appreciate your support in helping me to raise funds for this charity.
On October 30th 2007 I will be going to Malawi for 2 weeks, where I will be teaching some basic computer skills. I will be one of a group of about 40 people that will be travelling. The funds raised will help to support the work that I do there and other projects that we will be involved in.
Please read about the charity below. You can donate using the "sponsor me now" button, via credit or debit card. You can be assured that your transaction on the mycharity.ie website is very secure. You will automatically receive an e-mail from me thanking you for your support, and acknowledging the amount of your donation. Any donation, no matter how small, is hugely appreciated.
Many thanks in advance for your support,
Declan. |
About my charity
Playing for Life
Playing for Life was set up in 2005 by RTE Sports Journalist, Tracy Piggott, following a trip to Ethiopia. By asking African Communities what they need, Playing for Life aims to provide funding for Educational and Sporting facilities using local staff with the long term aims of employment and self sufficiency. Playing for Life is now recognised by the Irish Government and is receiving major funding from Irish Aid for projects in Malawi. Our annual RUN TO AFRICA fundraising event will take place around the country during 2009. See WWW.RUNTOAFRICA.ORG for event details.
