My Personal Message Hey Everyone,Thanks for visiting my personal fundraising page. Please take a few minutes to read about my charity - what it does and why I've chosen it. Console provide Counselling, Support and Helpline Services for people who are suicidal and those who have been bereaved through suicide. There are centres Nationwide - including one here in Athlone. Suicide takes the lives of approximately 500 people every year and Console are helping to reduce this number while providing support to those of us who have been bereaved by suicide. You can read more about Console and what they do in the "About" section below this message. I lost a wonderful friend to suicide in August 2011 which has had a huge affect on my life - and the lives of many others around me. Recently, I've been wondering what I could achieve in her memory while also raising money for those affected by the same grief. I wanted to do something that she'd be proud of! So I've decided to run the Flora Mini Marathon in June 2012 - the key word being "run". It's a 10km race and a huge challenge for me - I've never run before!! Training is going well so far - but it would mean so much to me and really spur me on if you could donate as little or as much as possible to this invaluable charity, in memory of an amazing friend.
