At Depaul Ireland we are committed to working with and giving HOPE to those experiencing homelessness who are most in need; This is central to what we do. We have shown this through the services we provide that have grown each year - services that were the first of their kind, working with many people who had previously been turned away elsewhere.
Giving HOPE is at the core of what we do in Depaul Ireland. Offering those who are facing very difficult challenges in their life a Home, Opportunity that they may not have experienced before, support to realise their Potential, Empowering each person to address their needs and move out of homelessness.
Your donation towards the Jurys Inn Cycle will help give hope people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Here's a Case Study from our Give HOPE Campaign...
I came from a very bad place in my life; I’ve been through homelessness and addiction. There was nothing but drugs and trouble. I was going nowhere, I self-harmed loads of times, and I attempted suicide. I thought there was no hope.
Because of it all, I ended up in prison. It’s sad to say that being sentenced to time in prison saved my live, but it actually did.
Over time in prison, I learned a lot and had a lot of time to think about what I wanted; to get clean and to have a stable place to live. When I was leaving prison, I didn’t want to go back to hostels and appreciated the opportunity to be able to live in Tus Nua.
I had a bumpy road in Tus Nua, but I had a huge amount support from the staff and volunteers there and without them I wouldn’t be here today.
I’m now living in Rendu Apartments and I love it! This is my home.
I have access with my children now, once a month for 2 hours. My kids can even stay in my apartment, so next time they come I’m going to cook them their dinner. I adore my children and I want to be the mother that I know I am. My kids are my number one.
I’ve come so far since my time in prison. I’m clean now and hold on to hope that things will improve. I’ve still a long way to go until I’m where I want to be.
My HOPE is that I can eventually move out into a place of my own where my kids can have the option to come live with me. When I get them back, I’ll feel whole again.
