My Personal Message
Dear Friends.
*** CHAPLAINCY TRIATHLON CHALLENGE COMING UP ***
*** I THINK I MIGHT NOW BE GOING NUTTS - AS I AM DOING A 'GYM TRIATHLON' ON 29TH MARCH. THIS IS AN OLYMPIC TRIATHLON (almost - 1k swim, 40k bike, 10k run) WHICH WILL BE COMPLETED IN THE POOL & GYM OF TRINITY SPORTS CENTRE. CRAZY - BUT HOPEFULLY GOOD FOR ME!!! ***
Thanks a million for stopping by and having a look at the Fundraising Page for the Trinity Chaplaincy Habitat For Humanity Build in Cape Town 2010 ... I am SOOOO excited to be able to lead a team of students form this great college, to this great event.
Habitat have been building houses, hope & community over the world for decades now - but this is a chance for us all to be involved in the good work of building - by donating even a small amount, you can make a massive difference.
Last September I participated i Habitat for Humanity's 'Desmond Tutu, building on Faith' Week in Mfuleni township, Cape Town. It was a fantastic experience, and great fun. But more than that, on 12th September, Mawawa, Nosephila & their son Lipskamye, were living in a shack that was smaller than my shed ... on 19th September, they had a house. 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen & living area. A home with a proper roof over their heads.
Thats why it was a great experience. And thats why this year I am leading a group of students ... they too can experience life changing home & action.
I will be doing many other sponsored events right up to September 2010, so please keep an eye out in the blog and on Facebook so that you can see what is going on!
Many many man thanks in advance for your support, and remember, loads of people, giving small amounts, makes a HUGE difference ...
Peace & love
