My Personal Message

Hi guys,

As most of you are aware, I enjoy going for the odd spin on the bike. This year I've decided I would like to go for a bit of a longer spin, a 1,000km spin. The route will be over a number of days and will go like this:

Stage 1. Kilkenny to Rosslare
Stage 2. Fishguard to Cardiff
Stage 3. Cardiff to Bristol
Stage 4. Bristol to Portsmouth followed by a rest day
Stage 5. Cherbourg to Caen
Stage 6. Caen to Alencon
Stage 7. Alencon to Orléans
Stage 8. Orléans to Môret-sur-Loing via Montargis (to watch the stage 5 sprint finish of the Tour de France).

I will be based for two nights in Môret, where I will be cycling down to Montargis to watch the 6th stage of the Tour de France leave, followed by a final spin up to Paris.

Due to the nature of the spin, I've decided that the Susie Long Hospice Fund would be the ideal charity for me to dedicate this to. It's a Kilkenny based fund, serving the local area. Susie Longs story is one that has touched me and it's with pleasure that I'm supporting the fund
