My Personal Message

Hey Guys,

Thanks for visiting my personal fundraising page. The Educate Together charity is a very worthy cause and I would very much appreciate your support in helping me to raise funds for this charity.

Please read a few words about the charity that I have chosen to support below. You can donate using the "sponsor me now" button below via credit or debit card. You can be assured that your transaction on the mycharity.ie website is very secure.

You will automatically receive an e-mail from me thanking you for your support, and acknowledging the amount of your donation.

What is being raffled here is a Munster rugby jersey signed by stars like Paul O'Connell and Keith Earls. Even if your allegiance is blue I'm sure you know SOMEONE who will appreciate it!

The way the raffle works : the names from first 100 donations of at least €5 will go onto a 10 x 10 grid. Each square will have its own unique grid location, eg L4M7. The final score in the upcoming Leinster v Munster match at the Aviva Stadium will determine the winner, going by the last digit in each team's score, for example, if the final score is Leinster 24 Munster 17, the winner will be the occupier of square L4M7.

NOTE - should we get less than 100 donors the grid will be filled with the names of the existing ones with people getting multiple squares based on how much they donated.

CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES ON THE GRID : FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 4 at 6PM SHARP. Of course, donations will still be gratefully accepted after that time, but they cannot count as an entry to the raffle.

The grid will be published on my blog http://www.harpinonrugby.net/ well before the match kicks off so that everyone knows their grid location.

Many thanks in advance for your support,

Jeff

PS Final score was Leinster-24 Munster-19 so the winning square was L4M9 which was owned by John Cleary - congratulations and thanks again to all who donated and helped us smash our target! Must do another one of these soon!

About my charity

Educate Together

Educate Together is an educational charity that is the patron body to 60 multi-denominational schools in Ireland. Established in 1978, it pioneered an approach to education in Ireland that was inclusive of all learners irrespective of belief system, race, ethnicity, class, culture, gender, language, lifestyle and ability. Critically it also placed the pupil at the centre of the learning process and encouraged active parental involvement in their children’s education. Today the Educate Together ethos continues to be founded on the concepts of equal human-rights, personal development and respect for diversity.

Educate Together opens its schools through the Department of Education and all are non-fee paying national schools that teach the national curriculum. Places at our schools are in high demand as children get a great education that nurtures their social, cultural and religious development as well as their academic progress. The organization is working hard to expand its school network at primary and secondary levels to give a choice of multi-denominational education to Irish parents throughout the country. At present 98% of primary schools are under religious patronage.

The organization receives some small government grants but is funded primarily through private fundraising. If you agree that multi-denominational, co-educational, child-centered education should be available to all, perhaps you may consider supporting Educate Together and help make our education model available to all.
