My Personal Message
Hello everyone,
This Easter twenty Fifth-year students of Gonzaga College SJ and five members of staff will travel to Zambia, as part of Habitat For Humanity's Global Village Programme. Habitat for Humanity is a worldwide non-profit housing organisation that works in partnership with people in need of decent housing to build and renovate simple, affordable homes. Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to achieving the vision of a world without poverty housing and homelessness, and to make decent housing a matter of conscience and action.
We hope to travel to Ndola in central Zambia for two weeks and to build two or three houses in one of Habitat For Humanity's designated Global Villages. For this to happen, a great deal of fundraising will be needed. Between bag-packing, churchgate collections and social events, we will need to raise at least €65,000 to cover costs for the trips.
So, any support we receive, whether small or large, will then be greatly appreciated. Anyone who wishes to contribute would be asked to leave the name of any student or member of staff who is involved in the trip.
Many thanks, Gonzaga's Habitat For Humanity 2010 Team. |
