My Personal Message
Hi!
Thanks for visiting our personal fundraising page. The Habitat for Humanity Ireland charity is a very worthy cause and we would very much appreciate your support in helping us to raise funds for this charity.
Please read a few words about the charity that we have chosen to support below. You can donate using the "sponsor me now" button below via credit or debit card. You can be assured that your transaction on the mycharity.ie website is very secure. You will automatically receive an e-mail from us thanking you for your support, and acknowledging the amount of your donation. Any donation no matter how small is hugely appreciated.
In June 2010, a group of 15 of us from the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology will be travelling to Ethiopia to work on a building project with Habitat for Humanity.
The vast majority of Ethiopians live in cramped conditions and in homes that do not protect them from weather, insects or diseases. Substandard housing has an adverse effect on health, the education of children, job performance and overall quality of life and without assistance, few Ethiopians have a chance of improving their situation.
The Global Village Sending Programme involves the participation of volunteers from all around Ireland who travel overseas to physically build homes in partnership with local communities.
Many thanks in advance for your support,
Ann-Marie, Barry, Calvin, Clare, Emily, Gavin, Iollan, Luke, Robbie, Hannah, Paul, Ross, Trevor, Eoin & Shane |
