My Personal Message
Hey Guys,
Thanks for visiting my personal fundraising page. Habitat for Humanity Ireland is a very worthy charity and I would very much appreciate your support in helping me to raise funds for this project.
This September I am travelling to Cape Town with the Trinity College Chaplaincy to build a decent home for a family living in extreme poverty in a township outside the city. Habitat for Humanity have chosen some of the most needy families in the township and the families will help us in the building process. It's a fantastic cause and will be a life-changing experience for those of us going over and, of course, the family that we biuld a house for!
Habitat have been building houses, hope & community over the world for decades now - this is a chance for us all to be involved in the good work of building - by donating even a small amount, you can change the life of someone really in need.
*** On Monday March 29th I took part in a triathlon held completely in the Trinity College Sports centre. 6 of us completed a 1,000m swim in the pool, then moved upstairs to cycle 40km on the static bikes, followed by 10km on the treadmill.
On Saturday July 17th I took part in the Pulse Aquathlon race in Clogherhead. This was a 750m open sea swim followed by a 5km run.
On 7th August, I took part in the Pulse Triathlon. This was the same as the aquathlon but with 20km on the bike between the swim and the run. I finished in a time of 1hr and 16mins
On the 21st August I took part in the Frank Duffy 10mile race in the phoenix Park in Dublin, finishing in a time of 64.01.
Please sponsor me!!***
Any donation no matter how small will go a long way and is hugely appreciated. You can make a massive difference!
Many thanks in advance for your support,
Cathal |
