Friends of Leukaemia Patients Cork
An Independent Registered Charity -Voluntary Group Established 1985.
Since then we have provided help to many patients and their families governed by a Board of Directors who are responsible for programme development standards and operations we observes all the appropriate governance protocols and fully transparent with audited accounts.
Our Board of Directors are totally voluntary, there is no wages or expenses paid to anyone involved with our organisation and no wage or commission given to anyone wishing to raise funds therefore we are not burdened with overheads.
One hundred per cent of donations made to our charity goes directly into providing much needed support and practical help to leukaemia patients and their families in the Munster area.

Home- From- Home accommodation for patients and their families within walking distance of St James Hospital Dublin.
This facility is made available without cost to patients and carers who have limited financial resources and has proven to be a tremendous help as it enables them to be close to their loved ones whilst the patient is having a bone marrow transplant.
A place to relax away from the hospital with all of the comforts that we normally take for granted the patient also stays in the apartment after their treatment as they attend the hospital on a daily basis until they are ready to return home again.
Provided to families through charitable donations and fundraising initiatives held through out the year to raise funds for the upkeep of the accommodation as we don't receive any government or state funding to assist with our work
We continually need new ideas as we would not be able to continue to do so without the help of the public .
Our Patrons Ger Power and Pascal Scott are invaluable to our organisation and we are truly grateful to our volunteers and to everyone that have helped us over the years ..
