My Personal Message Hey Guys,Thanks for visiting my personal fundraising page. The Camara Education charity is a very worthy cause and I would very much appreciate your support in helping me to raise funds for this charity. Please read a few words about the charity that I have chosen to support below. WHAT WE DO? 1. Take in second hand computers that have been discarded by Irish organisations and individuals, refurbish them and send them to schools in Africa. 2. Send out volunteers to train African teachears in basic computer literacy and specialised ICT skills. 3. Produce computer training materials and educational multimedia content in areas such as HIV/AIDS and gender equality. Actualment coopero amb una organitzatcio Irlandesa anomenada CAMARA (www.camara.ie), on des d’aqui es reparen ordinadors de segona mà provinents d’empreses i/o persones individuals per desprès poder-los enviar a escoles africanes amb les millors condicions possibles. Es treballa amb software gratuit i tambe es formen voluntaris per anar a ensenyar als professors conceptes basics i especialitzats en temes informacions i educatius durant el mes de Juliol. Aquest any he decidit que jo també aniré a Africa representant CAMARA, concretament a Zàmbia, i hi aniré a ensenyar tot el que pugui als professors i a viure i aprendre en primera persona les necessitats educatives i socials d’un continent oblidat per moltes persones. Desde d’aquesta pagina pretenc recollir donatius personals per afrontar els costos que tenim tots els voluntaris que anem a l’Africa. About my charity Camara Education (www.camara.ie) is an Irish charity that uses technology to enhance the education system in Africa. The mission of Camara can be best described by the old Chinese proverb - “Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach him to fish and feed him for a lifetime”. In that spirit Camara believes that education is the key to helping Africans break out of the severe poverty they find themselves in.
