My Personal Message Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. The Cork ARC Cancer Support House charity is a very worthy cause and we would very much appreciate your support in helping us to raise funds for this charity.The C Team - Cancer Survivors is a very special and unique relay team. Each of the members is a survivor of cancer. The team members are: Dan Byrne (Mallow), Oesophegeal Cancer - rear right of photo Joe Deane (Killeagh), Testicular Cancer - front left of photo Joe Dineen (Cork), Prostate Cancer - rear centre of photo John Quigley (Cork), Prostate Cancer - front right of photo John Ryan (Cobh), Testicular Cancer - rear left of photo The primary aims of the group are: 1) To raise the profile and awareness of cancer survivors. We're still here and getting on with life. (It may not be easy, but, bugger it, we're dealing with it) 2) To show those facing cancer, whether diagnosed or supporting someone who is dealing with cancer, that were getting on with life and they can too 3) To make contact with other cancer survivors who might join with us in future events and finally 4) (Maybe) raise a bit of money, though this is not a core aim. About my charity Cork ARC Cancer Support House is a voluntary organisation and registered charity located at O’Donovan Rossa Road, Cork. ARC standing for Aftercare, Research, Counselling was established to provide a holistic centre in which people with cancer and their families can find emotional support and practical help. Our aim is to provide therapies that complement the medical model, so as to make a difference to the lives of those affected by cancer.
