My Personal Message
Hello to you,
Thanks for visiting our personal fundraising page.
Our Bit - Φ TILL Φ -
Φ TILL Φ is a unique race in a unique environment. Teams of two race together from island to island (Φ till Φ). The teams swim between the islands and run on them. The total distance is 64 kilometres of which 10 km are swimming and 54 km are running.
The running sections are beautiful. At times the route goes though the woods without trail but most of the time the course is on trail or gravelled roads. To manage to finish the course from dawn to dusk demands that the competitors are fit and that they have practiced a good technique to be quick in and out of the water as there are as many as 38 in and outs. Teams represent countries from around the world including Sweden, Finland, Norway, UK, USA, Australia, South Africa, Germany, France and Ireland. We are proud to be the first and only representatives from Ireland.

About my charity
ChildVision
ChildVision is the ONLY school in Ireland for the education and training of blind and vision impaired children. We have been providing education and training at our campus in Drumcondra, Dublin since 1859 and in 2009 we celebrated our 150th Anniversary. Our students range in age from birth through to young adulthood. Some have additional learning and/or physical disabilities. Students attending the school come from all parts of Ireland and for those who due to geographical location cannot attend each week we offer an outreach service via our Family Resource Centre. Through an annual Calendar of events it offers training, social activities and Summer Camps at weekends and during school holidays for children, families and professionals in the field of vision impairment. Our Mobile Resource Unit, equipped with the latest in technology and aids for the visually impaired plus information leaflets etc. travels the country bringing our service to schools, hospitals and health centres. ChildVision acts as a national resource on the education and training of the blind or vision impaired child for parents, educators and healthcare professionals alike.
