My Personal Message Hey Guys,This year we are doing the second Bloggers a Dandering Charity Hike .. last year three of us completed a cross country hike of 26 miles ( 42K ) and raised 3k for Charity .. this year we are increasing our number and hopefully our target. This year we have a number of international hikers and have decided to support Unicef ( individuals are free to raise for their individual charity .. this is just the umbrella one ) , as the regions and focus of this Charity is global .. and relevant to all participants. About my charity Everything that UNICEF does is to help children survive and thrive until adulthood. We believe that every child has the right to survive, and we will continue our work until no child dies from a preventable cause such as measles or unclean water. Every moment of every day, UNICEF is on the ground providing lifesaving help for children in need. We are here to make sure that all children lead a healthy, humane, and dignified life. Now more than ever, UNICEF Ireland needs to fundraise in the community to save vulnerable children worldwide supported by UNICEF programmes. We know that everyday 22,000 children under the age of five die from preventable causes, such as drinking dirty water, not having shelter at night or not getting access to the most basic medical care - everything we now take for granted. We believe that number should be Zero and together we really believe we can achieve this goal.
