LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice has been caring for chronically ill children since the 1920’s, providing respite, crisis, transitional and end-of-life care (as the Children’s Sunshine Home). LauraLynn House officially opened in September 2011 by President McAleese at the Sunshine Home facilities in Leopardstown, Dublin.

 

This has helped extend our respite and end-of-life care to more children living with a life-limiting and life-threatening condition and their families. There are 42 hospices for children in the UK and none here until now.
