Build4life / Cystic Fibrosis

Organisation ID: CHY18176
Build4Life/Cystic Fibrosis was founded in 2007 by friends and family of Cystic Fibrosis Patients from Cork and Kerry and to date has raised over €3,200,000. In 2011 we opened the new Adult CF outpatient clinic. This year we will fund the adult CF isolated bedroom's along with the children's outpatient clinic.
People with CF need to treated in isolated ensuite accomodation while attending hospital. Build4Life/Cystic Fibrosis was the first charity in Ireland to raise funds to develop hospital accomodation in any hospital in Ireland. We need to raise a further €800,000 to develop and complete all the CF facilities in CUH. Build4Life/Cystic Fibrosis also raises funds for equipment and research for both the adult and children's CF departments.
Build4Life also provides funding for all the needs of both the adult and children's CF departments.
Build4Life/Cystic Fibrosis is the only charity funding the development of Cystic Fibrosis facilities in Cork University Hospital.
Build4Life/Cystic Fibrosis is Not associated with the Cystic Fibrosis association of Ireland (CFAI). The CFAI do not provide any funding for these life saving facilities in CUH.
