Sporting Proud

In 2010, with your help, proceeds from the Triathlon will enable us to provide funding to two very important charitable organisations, one here in Ireland and the other near Makondo in Uganda. 

Kathleen's Kids is a charity which supports a Medical Missionary of Mary outpost near Makondo, Uganda - an area cruelly devastated by AIDS.  Almost two generations of adults have been wiped out leaving countless children orphaned, alone and fending for themselves.  But for Sister Kathleen and her Medical Missionary Colleagues, these children would have no hope.

50 percent of the monies raised by this Triathlon will provide;

- A vital daily meal for one year (mil, soya and egg) for 150 toddlers at St. Kitzos Nursery School in Makondo, run by Sister Kathleen.

- Seven houses for HIV/AIDS stricken families (solid floor, brick wall, a rain butt, outside latrine and corrugated iron roof)

- Funding and training for one teacher at the nursery school

 The remaining 50 percent will be donated to the Down Syndrome Centre,
