Spinal Injuries Ireland

Spinal Injuries Ireland was founded in 1993 to provide support and outreach services to people with spinal cord injuries, 95% of whom are wheelchair users. Based in the grounds of the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire, Spinal Injuries Ireland currently has over 1300 members and focuses on dealing with the emotional and practical issues facing people with spinal injuries, 80% of whom never return to work after their accidents.
