Shandon Therapy Centre

Shandon Therapy Centre is a Cork based Eating Disorder/Eating Distress treatment centre, established in 2008.

Shandon Therapy Centre offers all people with eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Obesity, just to name a few, a safe, secure, therapeutic environment. Within this therapeutic setting, people with eating disorders are invited to work towards a full recovery.

We in Shandon Therapy Centre adopt a position of non-judgemental and unconditional acceptance of all people with eating disorders, their families and carers. We also believe that the basic values of respect, empathy and compassion are fundamental to our work. We want to see all people with eating disorders having access to a comprehensive recovery service and we recognise the right to receive a service based on ethical, safe, and evidence based practice. This right is also extended to the families and carers. It is also our intent to ensure that our services be open and fully available to everyone despite their socio-economic status.
