Rock reaches out to Kenya

Blackrock College 6th Year Class of 2012 and their parents, together with the Spiritan Fathers in Ireland and Kenya, the staff of Blackrock College, the Blackrock College Union and the Willow Wheelers have joined forces to develop the Spiritan Fathers HOLY GHOST SCHOOL, MACHAKOS in Kenya This year, during the month of July, 24 boys from the Class of 2012 and a number of their parents, will travel to Kenya at their own expense to contribute their labour and energy to assist in the development of the 400 student Secondary School. It is anticipated that future graduating classes will continue to assist in the development of this school.  We are now launching a fundraising drive to assist in the development of this school.

All the boys travelling and their parents will do so entirely at their own expenses. The organising committee however have set themselves an ambitious target through a programme of fund raising activity. The Class of 2012 want to contribute and give something back to those in the wider Spiritan Fathers family who are less fortunate than themselves.
